REJOICE & SHINE
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been
given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them
to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to
the very end of the age.”
NIV Matthew 28:18-20
Its always a blessing to see and find out what God
has in store for us through mission trips.
Ministering in India and Nepal
We were able to serve in three
different places each in its own way. I am so blessed to see how the Holy
Spirit leads us. We had amazing time sharing Gods love with each other and the
people God brought on our path.
Selakui slum - its always fun to
go with a team to the slums and share time with them praying for people,
teaching the kids and playing games with them.
Teaching at Rejoice & Shine Centre.
The sharing of your time,
talent, and treasures, no matter how little they may seem, can offer an abundance
of graces upon the lives of these children
It was wonderful to have Elaine,
Sarah and Jakarra here to help inside the small centre.

I do outdoor activities with some
of the younger kids and the older kids are taught inside the centre (small two rooms) where God is providing
necessary teaching material.
This centre is very useful for
all the kids and we are blessed to have this small place. We are making the
best use of it.
Sarah taught action songs to
kids, we all enjoyed it.
God has given us all different types of talents
and gifts. We need to use them as much as possible to spread the love. This
team split up and the boys played cricket with Cody and Anthony who also
blessed us by buying a new cricket set. The boys use it all the time now.
Matthew
18 New
International Version (NIV)
The Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven
18 At that time the disciples came to
Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
2 He called a
little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3 And he said:“Truly I tell you, unless you change and
become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of
heaven. 4 Therefore,
whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom
of heaven. 5 And whoever
welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.
Doon Heritage School
This is near Bahuwala which is a
15 minute drive from my home . We got the opportunity to serve at the school
and the team did a skit on "We are each Unique" and then we prayed
for the students and staff at the school. We then got chance to teach and share
in the different classes.
Salvation Home
1 Corinthians 13 And now these
three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love
This is special place with 23 girls living in
this home. They are sent to nearby schools for education. Mandi and team got
them all special gifts which they all loved. They are all lovely and we had
great time of sharing Godly love and encouraging them.
sharing Gods word..
The team also blessed them with some musical
instruments to worship our heavenly Father. It is always fun to worship with
them
Matthew 9.35
35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and
villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the good news of the
kingdom, and curing every disease and every sickness.
Landor community Hospital Mussoorie
God has blessed this place with
good doctors and staff. As a team we prayed for almost every staff member
working here and the sick people in the hospital.
Trip to interior villages of Mussoorie.
We visited a village about 30km
from Mussoorie.
LCH runs different projects
there. And we got the opportunity to be a part of it. We shared with families
living in these mountain villages. This was first time in a group meeting I was
able to use my own dialect Gadwali to communicate and translate.
My first international
mission trip.
God is so good all the time.
After spending time serving with the team in my own nation I was given the
opportunity to go to Nepal with them. It was my first international flight and
I was so happy to see how God provided. My dear uncle and aunty (DON and HELLEN
) gifted me this suitcase at the beginning of the mission trip in march and
told me I will be going to many other nations to serve the Lord. It was a
prophecy that came true. So I had
everything I needed. Mandi my team leader is amazing, she teaches me a lot.
During my first flight she was with me. I have learned a lot from her and the
teams in so many ways. God opened my eye so see His creation and His kingdom.
He opened my ears to hear His voice and He gave me opportunity to share His
love with many other people. It was a great team. Thank you very much Mandi for
taking me along.
I met missionaries from Iris who
have been serving in Nepal for quite a few years now. God is using them all in
so may ways to bring lost people into the kingdom.
I met other missionaries and its
always encouraging getting to know them and see their hard work. I keep saying
to myself God please use me more and more to glorify your name.
To minister and to be ministered
to is part of being on a mission trip, you get so encouraged.
Flying to Nepal
Nepal is a neighbouring country
and I didn’t need a visa which is why I was able to go.
I had never thought I would get a
chance to fly over Mount Everest as its expensive. But thanks to my team
members who made it possible for me. I was reminded of this song so many times
in Nepal,
” Over the mountains and the sea
Your river runs with love for me
And I will open up my heart
And let the Healer set me free
I'm happy to be in the truth
And I will daily lift my hands
For I will always sing of
Of when Your love came down….
I had great time learning and
sharing about our almighty God and how He has shown me that His word never
fails.
Jesus Heals a
Man With Leprosy
8 When Jesus
came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him.2 A man with leprosy[a] came and
knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me
clean.”
3 Jesus reached
out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be
clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. 4 Then Jesus said to him,“See that you don’t tell
anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses
commanded, as a testimony to them.”
Leper hospital visit in
Nepal
Spending time with these people
in the leprocy hospital we had chance to pray for them and hear their side of
story and how their own people had rejected them. I was in tears to hear but as I am very fond
of elderly people and I got to share the love of God with this lady and explain
what a difference it makes in our lives. I also explained how we see them. They
were very happy for us and for what we were doing.
John 3:16 -For God
so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
This one women who was in the
hospital as a patient. Mandi and I
talked with her for some time and then prayed for her and she gave her life to
Jesus.
Outreach to unreached people.
Iris Ministries have this shelter
called the Banquet house where they provide food and other help for homeless
people. We served at this ministry with them.
Worship and prayer time. I
spent time in worship at a prayer house which is also run by Iris Ministries
and we also visited the Iris orphanage for worship.
I really felt the presence of the
Holy spirit at both the places..
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. — 1 John 5:14
"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace" (Numbers 6:24-26).
Street ministry
I had never done something like this but it was
amazing to be part of it. The sight in itself was saying we need God's presence
here the devil had trapped young and old people in drugs and alcohol and these
night clubs were making lot of money out of them.
Mat. 22:39 The second most important is similar: 'Love your neighbor as much as you love yourself
Nepal is a tourist attraction and
a lot of tourists come here. One of them was lying drunk and had lost his
passport and other identification, we prayed for him as well and got him to
tourist police of Nepal.
The team fed one homeless man on
the street and prayed for him, he had a bible which he read during night time
and he knew about GOD.
Pokhara
As the trip came to an end, we travelled to Pokhara by bus and
stayed there for a few days. This was a great experience. We stayed at a
guesthouse which is also run by members of Iris Ministries who help girls that
are saved out of sex trafficking. They are employed at the guesthouse and help run
things.
MOTOR BIKING:
Nothing quite compares to the thrill of
exploring the valley on a motorbike. Pokhara is a very scenic and beautiful
place and we had a good time of relaxing and sharing about the mission trip.
Driving motorbike up the hill was fun. Some of us
went up to a hill to watch the sunrise.
Please pray
for Nepal
The people of Nepal struggle with everyday things
many of us take for granted. Even getting water to their homes is sometimes
difficult. There is a lot of poverty and after the devastating earthquake, life
there has become so much more difficult. There are many thousands that have
died, many not knowing Jesus. This nation are mostly hindu, they worship many
false Gods. Please pray that they will encounter the love of Jesus, the only
one who brings hope, true peace and real love.
Please also pray for the missionaries that are
working there, that they will keep doing what God has sent them there to do and
that they will run and not grow weary.
Thank you LORD for this
wonderful trip and opportunity to serve
you..
Heavens open up for those
who seek for others , the priceless prayers and work for all .Retreating from
what we have done for all in these parts of India and Nepal , I feel that there is a lot
more that we have to work on and help the message of lord spread in all parts
and all HEARTS !! Thanks , Praise the
Lord ……
