Why the sky is so high?

Praise the Lord!!!!the weather is good today, had to go and teach our brother in Christ in the evening..
saw a young boy riding cycle, green T shirt and black pant and it was not hard for me to recognize  him because since i have started visiting him he has always been in that dress.i was please to see his smiling face.

i always say no for tea but his family always offers us tea and snacks .i am so thankful for their hospitality.
i wonder why they were cooking dinner so early? think the electricity goes and comes back late.

its amazing. i asked him to show me the work which was marked by his teachers recently.his math note book is checked and he has tests form tomorrow.helped him in math fist and the i checked his English work which i had given him.it was not completed.
i think he needs a Hindi-English dictionary, which will help to understand the meanings.
today i taught him a lesson which a was a story.but an illusion
Why the sky is so high.it was a folk tale:i like the story.after reading and explaining the story i gave him home work.write the word meaning in Hindi which i had underlined.this time i wrote Hindi word for him in a piece of paper.he has to rewrite them in proper order.
shankar tough sanjeet a lesson form his English book( tea pot) and i think he was happy that he is getting more help.he has giving him home work to write alphabets and short words in his note book.

The things i observed:  they have three goats.i asked them what they were going to do with them?(they are going to kill 2 of them tomorrow and  people who live near by they can also buy it.
They asked us to come and have dinner with them they are going to have  party.one goat they will save and sacrifice it on Durga pooja (worship).

The young kids  use abusive language (age 3-7)
then i went to play marbles with the kids.it was a new group of kids.again i was loosing, but i had to correct one of the boy he was using swear words.i told him not to use it and he looked at my face.it was fun playing but i had to correct him twice. i took him in my arms .i asked his name and told him not to use those words again.his name was Shibu....
then it was time to say good bey...they all said  good bey....
over all plying with them  was refreshing...

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and has made the
    Lord his hope and confidence.
                                                                                      - Jeremiah 17:7

that's what i always need.today i had asked Devraj for his Hindi bible which i can give to my brother in Christ (Rajaan), ( i didt meet his family in mussorie the other day so i could not get his bible)
it was just blessing now i know a short way to the slums,we got there by  5 something.we meet his uncle  and he invited us with a smile on his face.
today i tough him lesson on cleanness.it was conversation  between a girl  and doctor.( keep your self clean, not to eat stale food, not to eat food from road side vendors) so i did a explain them different things too which were not in the book.and came up with an idea so asked Snjeet to bring soap and water and asked them to wash their hands( i washed mine too)  to explained why its impotent in our daily life....i think it was a very good lesson.i had taken few  pen and pencils for them and asked them not to loose it.

a strange person wanted to talk with me.i can smell the alcohol any way he made a good suggestion
,( please arrange some one who can come daily  or you come daily .teach tuition in the slum,we would pay  tuition fee also.)
i appreciate what he said.so i explain him we come twice a week and we love what we are doing looking forward to do more things with other kids too,

: bhiya please come daily - i will arrange a place for you to teach more kids.

i told him i will see what we can to.so please pray for us ( i don't know how to respond to this)
to day the weather was not good so didnt really get chance to play this time.

it was after all a good time of studies .. thank you..

first day of teaching...

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. - Deuteronomy 31:6

Today we went to meet our brother in Christ, after the busy day of work.this time i didnt call him so it was a surprise for him.
got there by 5:15 .( prayed to God that please be with us) first think i like about the place is that i see children playing marbles etc.this time i could not stop my self went straight to see their game,it was different then what i used to play .well they were playing for money and i asked them how they win money.simple answer when you shoot all the marbles out. money is left and then you have to aim for it,if you get the coin out of the square  you will win.( this is how they get into gambling i think )
any way then we went to see our brother in Christ
he was at his house talking with people.i asked him if he was ready for some studies? his friend was not there.
i asked him to take out subject in which he needs help.he was not sure which one to take out but then took his English book and home work.i was not sure how much English he knows.asked him to read the poem it was written by APG Abdul Klaam.
(my dear soldiers) asked him to read it.well he can read little bit.the words were difficult for him to pronounce..any way his home work was to complete the  question given at the end of the poem.
well i had to translate the poem for him then it was easy  for him to answer the questions asked in the book.
2 was ( lets  speak out) so he had to speak out some words like scorching, approaching, practice, evaluate, tolerate etc he was not able to speak them out properly..the word practice and other took more time in pronouncing correctly..( i wish i was perfect in phonics ) then a boy joins us    his name is SANJEET who is 13 years old in class 2 which is not a class for his age i asked why he was in class 2? he had moved back to Bihar and had to come back because his dad had to pay money to different people here in the slum  area. should have been in class 4-5 by now but he is in class 2 which is very sad.any way he joined in, so then i did READING TIME with both of them.read a story from the book and asked them to follow me it was a funny story,,in the end he had to do exercise  which was biased on articles( a,an,the) well so had to explained,(its hard to translated some things in hindi some times..so that was the first class which we did with two students. had a good time they were happy and i had to give them home work.( write the meaning of words which i had underlined....

next time i will have to take some stationary with me for them which will be helpful for both of us.

the things we observed .1st  there was a man who is a rag piker in mussoorie and was there to visit his daughter she is married to a man who lives in this slum . when i saw him   i told shanker that he is from mussoorie.this man was busy doing some kind of prayer or act of medication relief for jaundice( peeliya)( jadu-dona ) his son in law was suffring from it for last 3 weeks so he had asked him to do this for him, i asked him if he went to hospital:?  yes he did the medicine didnt help him at all.
any way what the old man was going-he had a liquid stuff and was string and murmuring.....( in the brass pan he had mustered oil, lime powder, and water mixture) the colored of it was yellow, that means the jaundice was being removed...

2 the children were playing marbles so i went to play with them and lost,,,hahahaha
but it was fun made new friends...Dhrmender,,,,Vikas,two three more dont remember the names.dhrmender has good aim in it,and i have to give 3 marvels to vikas...

please pray ...as we are heading forward with God's Plan in our life for those people, we really need your prays.

our faith

I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move.
Matthew 17:20

here we go we went to meet our brother in Christ. as we had planed earlier.it so nice to go and talk to him as i told him what we had planed for him and his friend( help them in  there studies or and other way they need it) he took out his not book and showed his work to us.( one of his subject teacher is blind and is teaching in a normal government school) i am sure it is hard.well i asked him if any one in his family was educated ( no one. is one of his uncle is he has only studied till class 3). it was strange to see how the rain had washed a way their house and how they were still living there.

his math note book (copy) got wet during the rain so every thing almost is ruined which means he may have to make a new one and his work was not checked properly.
asking his uncle what they were doing for earning?( they work in the factories around the area.telling about his uncle his (mosa.mamu, cahca) all live in the same slum, its so sad that one one of his younger uncle doesn't drink rest of them do.
now i told him we would like to come or when ever we get time to help him and his friends around the slum in their studies.
so please pray for us and his family.
the things we observed around and lady was feeding her children, young girl around 7-8 washing dishes which they use for cooking etc, a lady was taking bath in the flowing rain water(like a river) which is going near his house in front of every body she did not care i guess and man from her family were around and may be watching her.(felt very bad) i asked if they always did things like this.(yes there is no other ways.)
now i asked him to find out if any body in that area teaches tuition.?

yes he showed us the bicycle on which he goes to school, and i think riding that is also hard form him as he is  lame( leg is effected by polio.) meet one of his classmate and he was playing marbles with his  siblings.

he has left his bible in mussoorie which was not good i told him that i shell bring him next time i go to  mussoorie.
when we came out we saw some children paling with my bike and i dont know what they were saying about us in there language.
please pray for all the things written above.

thank you very much.

we are going to meet them

Deepak Kumar going out to see how people live in the slum today. it has been raining so it will be good to talk with children so planing to help the children in some ways...please pray that we come with new hope and plan for them,,,

today after a fun day i went to see a boy who used to live in mussoorie and is a member of our church CNC.

well it was just to encourage him grow in Christ,

so i went to see hi,,but i could not find his house in the slum.shanker was with me and we both were staring and wondering where he might be.

i triyed his phone which did not work,,any way then i went to find him other way and asked one of the slum boy about Rajan if he had see him..so he went to find him for us,we meet him ask how were things with him?

he told every think was fine (i guess not) well half of his house(his uncle house)was washed a way by the heavy rain of the mansoon which is not over yet.(i was shocked to hear his answer as he had said Evey thing is fine )and then i asked him what was the police doing there?

the police had come to take young boys of the slum who had been en voled in smoking, drinking, and playing (jua)gamling kind of i guess and those poor people cant save them self..watching all these things and talking to him made me think what is life for all of us?i wish i could do sumthing for them.so please pray for the people of slum area...thank you deepak
